Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
•Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
•Independently manage parts inventory on the company-issued service truck and maintain parts/equipment reconciliation.
•Document work on repair orders (RO), upload photos and findings via a company iOS device and the TRAIT application, and complete DOT forms while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional level degree/certification or 5 years’ related experience).
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
•Must successfully pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; have a current valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining (or be required to complete a DOT physical).
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job duties.
•Have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain the Driver Qualification File; candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
