Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform GTAW class A TIG welds and fabricate metal components to required dimensions for Starship/Super Heavy tank structures.
  • •Analyze engineering drawings/specifications to plan welding operations when procedural info is unavailable.
  • •Collaborate with lead welders to assess proper weld procedures, material types, and rod sizes for each project.
  • •Weld and assemble small-to-large structures and assemblies, including modifying repairs, assembling, and installing launch-vehicle components.
  • •Check work completion against drawings and safely handle/dispose of hazardous materials while improving operations and achieving build efficiency.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •7+ years of experience with TIG welding.
  • •Pass a weld test per AWS D17.1.
  • •Preferred: 10+ years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, aluminum, and/or titanium.
  • •Certifications with AWS D17.1 and D1.2.
