Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in the full software development lifecycle for Windows system-level tools and components, including design, implementation, testing, and integration.
  • •Develop Windows desktop/system utilities using C# / C++ (and WPF or similar when needed) to collect and visualize low-level system telemetry.
  • •Integrate and use low-level Windows system data sources such as WMI, Win32 API, ETW, performance counters, and hardware information.
  • •Perform cross-layer debugging and root-cause analysis across application, Windows OS, driver, and firmware layers, correlating user-mode and kernel-mode traces.
  • •Conduct performance and power analysis using WPA/WPR/ADK and ETW trace data, investigate ACPI event flows and platform power state transitions, and build diagnostic tools/scripts to accelerate investigations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Typically 10+ years of experience in Windows system/software development with proven low-level debugging and cross-layer issue resolution.
  • •Strong knowledge of Windows internals including process/thread model, Windows services architecture, driver model, and kernel vs user mode execution.
  • •Experience with Windows system programming and telemetry/performance tooling such as Win32 API, WMI, Registry, ETW, Windows ADK, WPA/WPR, and WinDbg.
  • •Proficiency with C++ and/or C# and debugging/analysis of Windows power management, including S0ix/DRIPS, C-states, ACPI events, and firmware/BIOS interactions.
