Provide front-line customer service and sales for retail banking customers by opening, closing, and maintaining accounts, handling basic teller transactions as needed, and supporting operational accuracy and compliance. Engage customers through profiling and follow-ups to drive cross-sell opportunities, and advise on banking products including IRAs and loans. Higher levels lead by example or manage a book of retail clients with referrals to other business lines.

Key Responsibilities

•Meet sales and service goals by engaging in bank sales processes, building customer relationships, using sales/customer service software, participating in sales campaigns, and following up by phone or email.
•Accurately open, close, and maintain customer accounts according to policies and procedures.
•Advise new and existing customers on Old Second products and services, including learning and applying knowledge to more complex retail products such as IRAs and loans.
•Cross-train as a Teller as needed to handle basic transactions (check cashing, deposits, withdrawals) and balance the drawer.
•Maintain working knowledge of internal and legislated compliance and regulations, supporting operational accuracy (e.g., BSA/Fraud/CTR, CIP, signature cards, beneficial ownership) and flexibility to open/close branches and fill in at other locations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 18.1 - 29 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 1+ years of related experience (banking, cash handling, customer service and/or sales, office, etc.), depending on level.
•Become licensed with NMLS registration within 60 days of assuming role and meet bank training requirements.
•Work onsite to perform the responsibilities of the position.
•For Level 3, 3+ years of related experience including some banking/sales, client relationship management, consultancy experience, or cash handling.
•Must successfully complete the Universal (Relationship) Banker Cross Training Development Plan curriculum (or equivalent experience).
