Job Summary

Provide technical assistance for multi-site/phase due diligence, permitting, design, and construction of utility and building electrical infrastructure. Oversee complex new construction and renovation projects, review electrical design plans for code compliance, and lead electrical engineering calculations (loads, grounding, short-circuit, protective relays). Manage MEP project budgets and subcontractor work, produce technical reports and presentations, and maintain QA/QC while staying current on electrical engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee complex new construction and renovation electrical infrastructure projects, reviewing electrical design plans for code compliance and data integrity.
•Apply electrical engineering techniques across project phases from concept development through procurement, construction, and operation.
•Prepare and review electrical calculations including loads, equipment sizing, grounding, short-circuit studies, protective device coordination, one-line diagram development, and protective relaying.
•Lead MEP engineering projects by managing budgets and hours/expenses, tracking materials/equipment/labor, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring satisfactory performance.
•Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates, produce technical reports and presentations, and provide guidance/leadership to project members with strict QA/QC.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education electrical engineering experience delivering design for large capital projects.
•Engineer in Training Certification.
•Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and codes including NEC, ICC building codes, and IECC energy codes.
•Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, plus strong technical writing and communication skills.
