Lead Start Path Emerging Fintech initiatives by sourcing startups, shaping partnership strategies, and collaborating with Mastercard product teams to accelerate fintech engagements. You’ll track market trends, manage a portfolio of startups, and drive commercial outcomes across payments, banking, financial inclusion, sustainability, data analytics, and more, while evangelizing Mastercard’s fintech strategy to executives, startups, VC firms, and industry bodies.

Key Responsibilities

•Sourcing high-potential and strategic startups for Mastercard Start Path Emerging Fintech.
•Driving partnerships and engagements with selected startups for commercial and strategic outcomes.
•Collaborating closely with product teams to develop partnership strategies and ensure alignment with roadmaps.
•Tracking and analyzing fast-emerging fintech market trends and performing market landscaping and due diligence to support investment hypotheses.
•Advocating and evangelizing the fintech strategy with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, startups, and venture capital firms.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 94,000 - 138,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Proven track-record working with startups in the fintech, startup engagement and venture capital domains.
•Strong experience in cross-functional collaboration – driving alignment across product and commercial teams to drive commercial outcomes.
•Strategic understanding of and interest in the payments industry evaluating trends and competitive landscape.
•Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
•Comfortable in a fast-paced team environment.
