Support the Port Authority Office of Safety Management on active construction projects across the New York/New Jersey region. Conduct site inspections and safety audits for compliance with OSHA, FDNY, NYC DOB, and related regulations; review contracts, drawings, and Health & Safety Plans; and monitor work to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate accidents and near misses, document findings, and maintain daily safety reporting while collaborating with project stakeholders on safety and fire prevention.

•Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, performing root cause analyses and preparing reports.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably on heavy civil or major infrastructure projects.
•Valid NYC DOB Site Safety Supervisor (SST) card, OSHA 30 certification, and a valid driver’s license.
•Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDNY, NYC DOB, NFPA, and other applicable construction safety regulations.
•Experience with contractor safety audits, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and construction safety reporting.
•Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience:5+ years

Education:Bachelor's in Safety or Construction Management
