Lead system-level architecture, design, implementation, and verification for complex defibrillator and patient monitor systems. Partner with project and program management to refine system requirements, translate them into sub-system specifications, and define performance, safety, interface, and cost targets. Oversee integration and verification testing, drive hardware/software/mechanical trade-offs, and document system design and evolution from clinical requirements to product lifecycle objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with project/program management to establish and refine system-level requirements for new and enhanced products.
•Lead translation of system requirements into product architecture and system-level design, including subsystem partitioning and interface specification documentation.
•Define and ensure architecture meets system-level requirements and supports product lifecycle goals, including performance, interface, safety, and cost specifications.
•Lead/oversee allocation of functionality across electronic/software/mechanical subsystems and make hardware/software/mechanical trade-off decisions aligned to clinical performance, reliability, regulatory, and business objectives.
•Lead efforts across implementation and integration/verification to resolve subsystem performance/interface issues and ensure the fully integrated system meets performance, safety, and cost requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 131,900 - 165,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Advanced degree in Engineering with training and experience across systems, electronics, software, and mechanical engineering.
•15+ years developing electronic hardware and embedded software systems/subsystems for complex, real-time measuring instruments.
•10+ years as a Systems Engineer leading architectural design and systems engineering for complex, real-time medical measuring instruments.
•7+ years leading systems engineering for multiprocessor-based systems using analog/digital electronics and embedded real-time software.
•Project management experience and training.
