Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and develop a team of researchers across career levels and build a high-performing culture.
  • •Define and execute the functional strategy for Distributed Research to scale capabilities across WHOOP.
  • •Partner with the Distributed Research Program Manager to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and deliver organizational priorities.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Machine Learning Research, Digital Health, Performance Science) to scope and execute research initiatives.
  • •Partner with the Research Platform team to improve technologies and workflows for high-quality data collection at scale.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years managing remote studies, at-home trials, or related research operations (including digital health or UX research).
  • •2+ years directly managing and developing individual contributors, leading teams through ambiguity.
  • •Partnering closely with program management, product, engineering, scientific, or research platform teams to deliver cross-functional work.
  • •Strong understanding of survey science and distributed research methodologies, including survey design considerations.
  • •Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.
