Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist and work with therapists in the care and rehabilitation of inpatient and outpatient clients.
  • •Provide clinical assistance, including supporting assessments and delivering exercises, mobility and interventions designed by qualified therapists.
  • •Record clinical interventions in patient progress notes and maintain accurate therapy recordkeeping.
  • •Assist patients with everyday activities (e.g., drinking, toileting, dressing/undressing) and monitor physical and cognitive function, reporting changes to the therapist.
  • •Support administrative and patient coordination duties, including therapy reception cover, filing/scanning, booking appointments, and supporting equipment management.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous experience as a therapy assistant in a hospital setting.
  • •An understanding of the impact of disability, illness and other conditions affecting function and promoting independence.
  • •Good understanding of the boundaries of your own practice and recognising training needs.
  • •Understanding of medical records and therapy recordkeeping.
  • •Experience providing customer service and working well in a team, with strong communication skills.
