Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and observing safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment as warranted; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and facilitate routine service checks, reporting maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license (depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations, and a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab; must be able to travel frequently.
