Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop initial, project-specific acoustic design goals and concepts.
  • •Create architectural, mechanical, and structural solutions aligned to acoustic design goals.
  • •Calculate HVAC system noise and reverberation time, and perform survey/evaluation of existing acoustic conditions.
  • •Review drawings and specifications to incorporate acoustic design elements throughout design.
  • •Prepare client-facing reports and recommendations; manage schedules, deliverables, resource planning, and financials for small/medium projects (and assist on larger/multi-discipline projects).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Acoustics, Audio Technology, or a related field with coursework in architectural acoustics.
  • •5+ years’ experience as an acoustic consultant in the commercial design industry.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills to organize and present design information to clients and staff.
  • •Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing relationships with staff and clients.
  • •Client focus with a commitment to quality and problem-solving.
