Key Responsibilities

  • •Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; approve or escalate when clinical or financial validation is needed.
  • •Approve pharmacy procurement and inventory requests based on budget, necessity, and policy; monitor inventory movement to prevent overstocking/shortages.
  • •Validate medication charges for insurance and billing; ensure compliance with payer rules and coordinate approvals/corrections with billing and finance teams.
  • •Ensure approvals comply with healthcare regulations and internal policies; maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and accreditation standards.
  • •Process approvals in HIS/ERP, maintain approval/rejection records, generate required reports, and coordinate with pharmacists and physicians to resolve discrepancies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • •Prior experience in hospital pharmacy or healthcare approvals preferred.
  • •Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and hospital workflows.
  • •Attention to detail and accuracy with approval decisions.
  • •Familiarity with HIS/ERP systems and pharmacy operations.
