Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead traffic studies for projects in California and support West Coast regional projects as needed.
  • •Provide specialized technical input across discipline components of PS&E, including quality control of calculations/drawings and specification sections.
  • •Develop study/design procedures, cost estimates, and technical effort estimates; help shape engineering budgets and schedules.
  • •Conduct traffic operational analysis and modeling, including simulation and traffic safety analysis, and support ITS/emerging technology work.
  • •Support CEQA/NEPA compliance documents and provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to entry-level/junior engineers or technicians.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • •Certified Engineer (PE/TE/PTOE) license in California, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • •Experience in transportation planning, modeling, and engineering for multimodal transportation projects.
  • •Experience with traffic engineering projects and clients on the West Coast (California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada).
  • •Familiarity with or knowledge of traffic signal/ITS and related analysis and simulation tools; ability to write concise technical reports.
