Job Summary

Lead multi-disciplinary electrical design for rail/metro station fit-out systems across underground, at-grade, and elevated environments. Own the full design lifecycle from requirements and load studies through selectivity/arc-flash reviews, LV/MV building distribution, emergency lighting, and EMC/earthing interfaces. Coordinate BIM-based design reviews and clash prevention, manage authority approvals, and support tender and construction phases while mentoring a team.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead multi-disciplinary station electrical design including LV/MV distribution, protection/coordination, earthing & bonding, lightning protection, standby generators & UPS, and lighting & controls.
•Own the full design lifecycle (requirements through IFC) including load studies, selectivity/arc-flash reviews, single-lines, schematics, cable schedules, layouts, and specs/BOQs, with construction support as needed.
•Apply rail-specific life-safety standards (e.g., NFPA 130) for egress, fire protection, and emergency ventilation/control/communications, coordinating with relevant teams.
•Design compliant emergency lighting to EN 1838/BS 5266 and produce photometric calculations and layouts using Dialux/Relux.
•Engineer EMC & earthing interfaces to EN 50121 and EN 50122-1, coordinate BIM reviews/clash prevention, and lead authority approvals while mentoring and reviewing team deliverables for QA/QC.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
•Professional registration (e.g., CEng/PE) strongly preferred.
•12–18+ years in building/station electrical design with major rail/metro station projects; GCC experience strongly preferred.
•Strong grasp of NFPA 130, EN 1838/BS 5266, EN 50121/EN 50122, and typical rail authority requirements (BS 7671/IET Wiring Regs or NEC).
•Fluency with ETAP/Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD/Revit, and BIM coordination; familiarity with SCADA/BMS interfaces.
