Job Summary

Assist the plant foreperson with daily operations and upkeep at the facility, including general labor, shoveling, and supporting equipment maintenance. Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as a frontend loader and skid steer, and perform related duties for the plant and crew. As needed, complete welding and fabrication tasks, detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions, and follow OSHA/MSHA safety expectations and site procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the plant foreperson with daily operations and plant upkeep.
•Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., frontend loader, skid steer).
•Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling and equipment maintenance support.
•Assist crews/foreperson as needed, including miscellaneous duties around the facility.
•Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions; respond accordingly (may include welding/fabrication as required).

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months related experience/training, or an equivalent combination).

•General understanding of OSHA and MSHA regulations; strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions; basic math and reasoning skills.
