Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver Humanities lessons aligned to the curriculum and embed the Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout instruction.
  • •Plan and prepare classroom provision and learning resources, create engaging learning environments, and adapt teaching to support the whole ability range.
  • •Assess and track class progress, record student development using Target Tracker, and use assessment data to influence planning, provision, and interventions.
  • •Follow the school behaviour policy, manage classes effectively, maintain positive pupil relationships, and act decisively when necessary.
  • •Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with parents/carers, participate in school events and special activities, and run a weekly ECA each term.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in the relevant subject and B.Ed. or PGCE Education.
  • •Experience in teaching AP/IB or A-Levels standard.
  • •Clear understanding of the Curriculum and ability to plan lessons that meet the needs of the whole ability range.
  • •Ability to assess and record student development in line with school requirements and use provided assessment data to inform planning and intervention.
  • •Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
