Job Summary

Serve as a senior technical leader shaping the design, evolution, and governance of core software products for state and law enforcement customers. You’ll lead complex architecture and drive engineering standards while staying hands-on across the full development lifecycle. Deploy and validate solutions in cloud environments, troubleshoot high-impact performance and reliability issues, maintain authoritative technical documentation, and support technical reviews and sales/bid activities. Travel up to 15%.

•Lead the full software development lifecycle at a systems/architecture level, including requirements analysis, solution design, validation strategies, and long-term maintainability.
•Deploy, configure, and validate core products in cloud environments aligned to architectural guidelines and operational requirements.
•Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality software across projects.
•Drive resolution of complex technical issues using root-cause analysis and define sustainable corrective actions, while maintaining authoritative technical documentation and leading architecture/code reviews.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
•8–12 years of progressively responsible software engineering experience, including system design and full development lifecycles.
•Expertise in modern software development with advanced object-oriented/service-oriented design using Java and Angular and/or React.
•Advanced scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and hands-on deployment/integration/configuration in on-prem and cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
•Strong knowledge of secure software design, web API design, and performance tuning using relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL.
