Job Summary

Join the US Studio Partnerships Business & Legal Affairs team to draft and negotiate licensing and co-production agreements for scripted original series. Advise studio partners and producers on preferred deal terms, and guide projects from development through post-production and exhibition on Netflix’s global streaming service. Partner closely with cross-functional teams across production, finance, IP, employment, labor, tax, and marketing while building strong external relationships with studio and talent representatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Draft and negotiate licensing and co-production agreements for scripted original series.
•Advise studio partners and producers on Netflix deal-term preferences, including above-the-line talent and complex rights deals.
•Oversee projects from development through post-production and exhibition from both business and legal standpoints.
•Collaborate with internal partners across content, production, finance, intellectual property, employment, labor, tax, and marketing/brand partnerships.
•Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external business and legal affairs leaders and talent representatives.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 225,000 - 390,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS and JD, with bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
•At least 7 years of experience in scripted series production and/or licensing/co-production in a legal-focused or combined business/legal affairs role.
•Prior experience drafting rights agreements, licensing and/or co-production agreements.
•Strong industry knowledge and relationships across development, production, and distribution of scripted television.
•Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills with strong analytical judgment and prioritization.
