Job Summary

Lead tunnelling and geotechnical engineering work by delivering technically strong designs and project outputs. Apply expertise in engineering geology, tunnel design, and construction methods to support TBM and NATM tunnel projects for soft rocks and mixed ground. Prepare high-quality engineering reports, manage project delivery and financials, and use finite element modelling tools such as PLAXIS and Rocscience Phase2. Collaborate with and support client and international stakeholders while contributing to team development.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver tunnelling and geotechnical engineering projects, including preparing high-quality technical reports.
•Design TBM and NATM tunnels for soft rocks and mixed ground.
•Understand client requirements and manage project delivery with robust project financial management.
•Use finite element modelling tools (e.g., PLAXIS 2D/3D, Rocscience Phase2) to support engineering analysis.
•Lead project teams and support ongoing professional development for self and others, including representing the geotechnical team at conferences and seminars.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in civil engineering plus master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
•Proven experience with TBM and NATM tunnel designs for soft rocks and mixed ground.
•Strong understanding of engineering geology and tunnel design and construction methods.
•Experience using numerical modelling software for design of staged excavations and finite element modelling.
•Minimum 16+ years of relevant design experience in a consulting environment.
