Design and engineer pressure relief valve applications supporting nuclear power plants and U.S. Navy submarines and aircraft carriers. Review customer specifications, develop design proposals, create CAD models and manufacturing drawings, and size products for selection. Troubleshoot shop-floor issues, provide technical support across quality/manufacturing/sales/purchasing, and prepare procedures including stress analysis and testing/qualification activities.

•Review customer specifications and develop comprehensive design proposals for valve applications.
•Use CAD to produce models and detailed manufacturing drawings from concept sketches and legacy drawings.
•Provide technical support to internal teams including quality, manufacturing, sales, and purchasing.
•Troubleshoot and support shop floor activities, including material defects, valve assembly, and testing.
•Prepare procedures for assembly/testing/qualification and perform stress analysis for products and materials.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or similar engineering technology degree).
•Knowledge of the manufacturing environment.
•3+ years of experience as a mechanical or product engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably with engineered-to-order products.
•Familiarity with product data management software and development of bill of materials.
•Technical knowledge of valves and valve products, including familiarity with ASME Codes and Standards.
