Job Summary

Own process plant reliability and continuous improvement activities for HPL (High Pressure Leach), the oxygen plant, and the acid plant. Scope, plan, and deliver improvement projects, provide technical expertise to maintenance and operations to reduce downtime and operating costs, and perform root-cause failure analysis. Monitor plant performance, support troubleshooting and upgrades, coordinate plant shutdown planning, and develop reliability KPIs while working with OEM suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead process plant reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities for HPL (High Pressure Leach), oxygen, and acid plants.
•Scope, plan, and implement improvement projects identified within the section.
•Provide technical expertise and advice to maintenance and operations teams to improve reliability and reduce operating costs.
•Investigate equipment failures and downtime using root-cause failure analysis, recommend remedial actions, and monitor/analyze plant performance to fix deficiencies.
•Support plant shutdown planning and execution; assist troubleshooting, guide repairs, coordinate modification/upgrade work, and liaise with OEM suppliers/consultants.

Key Requirements

•Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
•Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
•Member of the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mining plant maintenance role.
•Extensive knowledge of reliability principles, maintenance strategies, condition monitoring, failure analysis, and continuous improvement processes.
