Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead process plant reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities for HPL (High Pressure Leach), oxygen, and acid plants.
  • •Scope, plan, and implement improvement projects identified within the section.
  • •Provide technical expertise and advice to maintenance and operations teams to improve reliability and reduce operating costs.
  • •Investigate equipment failures and downtime using root-cause failure analysis, recommend remedial actions, and monitor/analyze plant performance to fix deficiencies.
  • •Support plant shutdown planning and execution; assist troubleshooting, guide repairs, coordinate modification/upgrade work, and liaise with OEM suppliers/consultants.

Key Requirements

  • •Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • •Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
  • •Member of the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mining plant maintenance role.
  • •Extensive knowledge of reliability principles, maintenance strategies, condition monitoring, failure analysis, and continuous improvement processes.
