Job Summary

Troubleshoot, test, assemble, and disassemble mechanical assemblies in Baker Hughes’ Drilling Services team. Review and follow assembly/disassembly procedures, configure test stations, interpret environmental test data, and support repairs/modifications for non-conforming equipment. Perform testing and evaluate/repair general-purpose test equipment, collaborate with Engineering and Reliability on experiments, and coach other technicians while working in compliance with HS&E policies.

•Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, and perform visual inspections of mechanical assemblies.
•Review procedures for assembly, disassembly, and test verification accuracy.
•Configure test stations and systems, analyze/interprete environmental test data, and troubleshoot equipment problems.
•Assist with setup of experiments and record experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.
•Provide leadership/coaching to other technicians, and repair/modify non-conforming equipment while working in compliance with HS&E policies.

Key Requirements

•Have a 2-year technical diploma or an Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical field or higher.
•Have at least 2 years of related experience in electro-mechanical work.
•Demonstrate advanced skills in soldering and assembling electro-mechanical devices.
•Be able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
•Be proficient with measurement and gauging equipment, and instruments including multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers; have strong written and oral English skills.
