Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and ensure effective, efficient environmental programs and procedures that conform to the management system and regulatory requirements.
  • •Monitor and conduct EHS audits to evaluate implementation and effectiveness of the EHS management system and recommend gap-closing measures.
  • •Coordinate and manage environmental walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to confirm operations comply with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • •Perform incident/event follow-up and investigations to determine root causes, implement containment actions, and establish corrective and preventive actions.
  • •Develop and provide environmental training, collect and evaluate environmental metrics, and present environmental matters to leadership and local city agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • •A level of Japanese proficiency sufficient to interpret laws and regulations is required.
  • •Ability to communicate in English, or a strong willingness to do so.
  • •At least two years of experience in chemical substance analysis and handling.
