You’ll contribute to planning, analysis, and design of water-related infrastructure, applying structural fundamentals to reinforced concrete and steel, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting safe, resilient projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply structural engineering fundamentals to support the design and assessment of water and infrastructure projects across the Prairies.
•Perform reinforced concrete and structural steel calculations under supervision, contributing to safe and reliable designs.
•Support the analysis and design of hydraulic structures such as spillways, weirs, culverts, headwalls, floodwalls, and retaining structures.
•Assist with evaluating hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, uplift, soil, ice, debris, and seismic loads relevant to water infrastructure.
•Contribute to structural stability analyses including sliding, overturning, and bearing capacity checks.

Key Requirements

•Strong foundation in structural engineering fundamentals
•Experience with reinforced concrete and structural steel design, with the ability to complete basic calculations under supervision
•Exposure to hydraulic structures and water infrastructure projects is an asset
•Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and coordinate with geotechnical specialists
•Proficiency with engineering software such as SAP2000 (or similar), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel; hydraulic modelling exposure is a plus
