Key Responsibilities

  • •Review the adequacy of CDD, KYC, KYB, source of funds, client information/profiling and suitability during account opening to assess and mitigate financial crime risks.
  • •Provide guidance to senior management and the board on the firm’s risk-based approach to AML/CTF.
  • •Support and manage client reviews as part of enhanced due diligence activities, including sometimes onsite reviews.
  • •Conduct regular risk assessments for money laundering and terrorist financing risks and assess control effectiveness; manage remediation items when needed.
  • •Execute compliance monitoring and liaise with regulators, including supporting exams/reportings, investigating suspicious transactions in consultation with the MLRO, preparing SAR reports, and maintaining money transmission licenses/NMLS open license items.

Key Requirements

  • •3 to 5 years of professional compliance experience in the payments industry.
  • •Master 2 university degree (or equivalent) in Law, Criminal Law, or Business Law.
  • •Expertise in AML/TF and compliance areas within a financially regulated company, including risk and permanent control.
  • •Ability to support the development of innovative payment services with a business-minded approach.
  • •Experience working in an international, diverse environment; Spanish fluency is a plus.
