Job Summary

Design, implement, and improve secure, scalable software applications for Visa’s fintech business. Spend most of your time coding while applying OOP concepts, REST/JSON, SQL, and enterprise web service development. Collaborate with product, design, data science, QA, operations, and compliance to translate requirements into technical solutions, contribute to system design and architecture, and support on-call troubleshooting and deployments. Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret requirements, incorporate feedback, and verify assumptions, escalating potential design issues.
•Participate in system design and architecture, refining code plans and contributing to design documentation.
•Develop, implement, and maintain code for products/services/components using coding patterns, guidelines, and best practices.
•Create test plans and configure testing procedures to identify and resolve defects across multiple features, including code reviews.
•Support on-call rotations by troubleshooting issues and deploying fixes under guidance.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
•Experience with software systems/technologies for at least two years, including OOP concepts and design patterns.
•Strong Java and J2EE experience, with REST APIs and JSON, plus exposure to relational databases.
•Strong SQL skills and experience with JavaScript.
•Basic knowledge of EXTJS or Angular, and exposure to Linux/Unix/Windows (2003/2008/2012).
