Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and own the multi-year architectural vision and roadmap for Freshworks' enterprise data platform
  • •Lead critical technology selections, macro architectural reviews, cloud migrations, and platform deprecation cycles
  • •Design robust event-ingestion architectures and real-time streams using Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub
  • •Lead the design and implementation of Spark-based distributed processing systems for massive, multi-tenant datasets
  • •Establish platform governance, telemetry, security, and data productization to support organization-wide self-service analytics

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or Data Architecture
  • •Deep, hands-on command of Snowflake, Apache Spark, and cloud data ecosystems (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • •Experience with lakehouse technologies such as Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, and Databricks and real-time ingestion (Kafka, Kinesis, CDC)
  • •Proven track record designing and operating large-scale live production data environments and mentoring Staff/Senior engineers
  • •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related quantitative field
