Job Summary

Administer the plant environmental program to ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and permits. Implement environmental policies, monitor performance and strategic outcomes, and drive best practices across operations. Serve as the local contact for regulatory and community stakeholders, coordinate permits and reporting, and oversee stack testing, audits, and compliance management system training at the Durkee site.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer the plant environmental program in alignment with corporate environmental policies and applicable laws and regulations.
•Ensure compliance with environmental permits covering air, water, and waste; maintain a compliance task list and monitoring system with deadlines.
•Evaluate environmental performance, conduct audits, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.
•Coordinate and supervise stack testing activities, review/approve stack testing reports, and complete administer reporting/renewals.
•Serve as the local contact with regulatory and community stakeholders; assist regulatory agencies and accompany inspectors during inspections.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 4-year/Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, engineering, natural sciences, law, or a related field.
•Minimum 7 years of experience in the environmental field, cement, mining, or related industry (preferred).
•Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
•Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills, including listening skills.
•Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office products, and to build and lead a team.
