Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safe patient care by meeting clinical quality standards in line with company policies and procedures.
  • •Manage and mitigate clinical risks within the unit.
  • •Lead and manage staff in the unit to support engagement and productivity.
  • •Manage unit operational and capital expenses and ensure optimal utilisation of resources.
  • •Actively contribute to a positive client experience and support interdepartmental outcomes and key stakeholder relations.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional Nurse qualification with a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management (or an accredited management qualification), or 5 years of hospital leadership experience.
  • •Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing if managing a specialist unit (e.g., perioperative nursing).
  • •5 years of Professional Nurse experience in a hospital.
  • •2 years of leadership experience in a hospital.
  • •Knowledge of auditing/accreditation, clinical risk management, infection prevention and control, and relevant nursing legislation.
