Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and optimize NGS-based methods and workflows for DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, target capture, and sequencing following IVD Design Controls principles.
  • •Design, perform, and characterize experiments; operate and maintain NGS instruments including automated liquid handlers, PCR instruments, and sequencers.
  • •Conduct new reagents testing and develop reagent quality control methods for analytical workflow performance.
  • •Troubleshoot issues and identify process improvements across the analytical workflow.
  • •Transfer research prototype assays and reagent QC/manufacturing processes from Development to Operations in coordination with Quality, Quality Control Lab, Manufacturing lab, and Regulatory teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in molecular biology or biochemistry (or related) with at least 4 years of life sciences experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • •Hands-on experience developing and optimizing next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays, including extraction, library preparation, target capture, and sequencing.
  • •Familiarity with molecular biology/genomics and laboratory workflows such as plasma separation, DNA/RNA extraction, purification, and NGS library preparation.
  • •Experience designing, planning, and executing experiments, interpreting results, preparing data for review, and presenting scientific findings.
  • •Ability to manually pipette with high precision and accuracy, maintain high attention to detail, and record accurate results in electronic lab notebooks.
