Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage health, safety, and environmental arrangements for the project in line with WSP HSEQ Management System requirements.
  • •Manage HSE Inspectors to ensure health and safety arrangements are monitored at project site level per legal and client requirements.
  • •Develop and deliver HSE training (e.g., induction and safe working practices) to WSP employees.
  • •Review and approve contractors’ HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements before work starts.
  • •Plan site visits and conduct joint HSE inspections, emergency response plan drills, and incident investigation follow-ups to close corrective/preventive actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Proven experience in an HSE leadership role, preferably within construction or engineering.
  • •In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices, particularly in the Middle East region.
  • •Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • •NEBOSH (or equivalent) certification is highly desirable; SCE in Health & Safety domain required; Fluent English; Arabic knowledge an advantage.
