Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide financial support and direction to bid and project teams for capability and training, including risk reviews for financial and commercial risks.
  • •Prepare quarterly CSR/SSRs and support trading plans, challenge estimates-to-complete, and challenge contract performance to support decision-making.
  • •Create and challenge Integrated Business Plan (IBP) assumptions, run the IBP process for the project area, and perform financial modelling for baseline assumptions.
  • •Support audit management by liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely and accurate provision of required information.
  • •Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting, ensure robust financial governance across LCM phases, improve project accounting processes, and lead professional staff (motivation, development, succession planning).

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified accountant with strong knowledge of most finance functions and essential experience in project accounting, financial accounting, and some financial planning and reporting/management reporting.
  • •Good knowledge of current accounting standards/practices and the BAE Systems Finance Policy Manual (FPM).
  • •Highly motivated with the ability to self-drive tasks to completion alongside others.
