Job Summary

Skilled BIM Designer to support rail infrastructure projects with BIM and CAD design. Create and manage 3D BIM models and 2D CAD drawings for rail systems and stations, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, implement BEP/BIM protocols, perform clash detection, and deliver compliant outputs on schedule across Nordics rail standards while collaborating with cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage 3D BIM models for rail systems, stations, and related infrastructure using industry-standard tools (Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRail, Navisworks).
•Produce 2D CAD drawings and detailed design documentation in compliance with U.S./Nordics rail standards and project specifications.
•Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Survey, Architect, Utilities, Civil, structural, MEP) to ensure model integrity and resolve clashes.
•Implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific BIM protocols; perform model validation and clash detection.
•Synchronize and update models on cloud collaboration platforms daily; deliver outputs on schedule and report progress to BIM Lead/Coordinator.

Key Requirements

•Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; 4-8 years of experience in BIM and CAD design for rail or transportation projects.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRail/Road and BIM coordination tools (Navisworks, etc.). Experience with cloud collaboration platforms and CDE like ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC.
•Experience handling LiDAR / Point Cloud data and knowledge of interoperability with different formats / platforms.
•Familiarity with Nordics rail standards (TRVINFRA or European Norms) preferred.
•Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
