Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the key day-to-day client interface and deliver value-added cost management across project stages.
  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders, produce and present cost plans, and coordinate cost information sources.
  • •Review and collaborate with design services and general contractors on cost estimates; reconcile changes and ensure contractor data accuracy.
  • •Manage cost checks, valuations, post-contract cost variances, change of control processes, contingency management, and commitment tracking.
  • •Prepare monthly cost reports and final accounts; compile benchmarking records and mentor/coach talent while ensuring SOX controls where applicable.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •5–7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accreditation or working towards it is preferred.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large sized construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • •Strong communication skills and good knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
