Job Summary

Support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation and simple cooking tasks under senior chefs’ supervision. Maintain cleanliness and organization across work areas, monitor stock rotation and inventory to reduce waste, and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination. Help with ingredient readiness, plating and garnishing to meet presentation standards, and collaborate with kitchen teams to ensure timely execution of orders.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring ingredients.
•Execute simple cooking tasks (grilling, frying, sautéing, baking) under the supervision of senior chefs.
•Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, including countertops, cutting boards, and equipment.
•Support stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness and minimize waste, and adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years working experience and 2 years of relevant experience (2 years in GCC is a plus).
•Ability to perform fundamental cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, and roasting.
•Knowledge of food safety principles, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control to prevent foodborne illnesses.
•Familiarity with ingredients (meats, seafood, vegetables, herbs, spices) and their preparation techniques.
•Understanding of menu items, recipes, and plating standards to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
