Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans for branch offices and outside referrals, meeting sales and cross-selling objectives. Focus on selling CRA products and services to low- to moderate-income individuals and areas, and supporting nonprofit organizations. Manage each loan from application through closing, coordinate homebuyer training seminars, maintain required knowledge of policies and regulations, and responsibly handle risk while communicating progress to applicants and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop CRA prospects and referral contacts including realtors, builders, and professional and personal contacts.
•Take applicant applications by completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 and use the laptop to access daily rates, credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Collect applicant documentation and deliver loan packages within management time frames; manage the loan pipeline through closing and complete required management reports.
•Coordinate homebuyer-training seminars for CRA potential applicants and handle employee loans, participating in functions that promote employee loans.
•Maintain customer service levels and attend required Consumer Lending meetings; follow escalation protocol for exceptions and maintain SAFE Act registration.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Organizational skills plus strong written and verbal communication; demonstrated teamwork and customer service; basic sales technique skills.
