Key Responsibilities

  • •Generate product concepts through freehand sketching and develop product forms, styling themes, and design directions for power tools and accessories.
  • •Create concept sketches, renderings, and presentations; produce photorealistic visualizations and detailed design proposals balancing aesthetics and ergonomics.
  • •Build complex, production-ready surface models in Creo Advanced Surfacing and convert concepts into manufacturable 3D CAD models.
  • •Conduct ergonomic studies and human-factor evaluations; develop handle designs, grip surfaces, trigger locations, and interface layouts.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, product management, and suppliers to support prototyping, design validation, and design reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design with 7–9 years of industrial design experience in power tools, consumer products, outdoor equipment, appliances, or related products.
  • •Strong freehand sketching and the ability to communicate design intent through quick ideation sketches and presentation-quality renderings.
  • •Proficiency in CAD and industrial design software, including SolidWorks and Creo, plus Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • •Advanced surfacing and product form development skills, with strong understanding of design aesthetics and ergonomics.
  • •Experience producing production-ready surface models and refining geometry for CMF, assembly requirements, and tooling constraints (including DFM/DFA collaboration).
