Own the background adjudication process for service professionals, making eligibility decisions based on findings and resolving identity verification issues. Provide clear, timely responses to background check and privacy-related inquiries, including processing data summary requests under applicable U.S. privacy laws. Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Support, and cross-functional teams to improve background checks and data privacy, while helping drive OKRs and KPIs for Trust & Safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Independently review and adjudicate background check results for service professionals on the Thumbtack platform.
•Make informed eligibility decisions based on background check findings.
•Address and resolve identity verification matters affecting service professionals.
•Provide clear, timely information to users for background check and privacy-related inquiries, including processing data summary requests in line with consumer rights and applicable U.S. privacy laws.
•Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Sales, Support) to train and collaborate on background checks and data privacy, and support OKRs/KPIs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 26.25 - 39.96 hourly

Key Requirements

•Experience in a related field such as Trust and Safety, Law Enforcement, Compliance, Human Resources, Legal, or similar work requiring high confidentiality and discretion.
•Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and meticulous attention to detail.
•Ability to independently manage a caseload and volume across multiple systems by prioritizing work effectively.
•Strong critical thinking and self-driven, resilient mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to shifting priorities.
•High School diploma or equivalent.
