Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, specification, and construction of solar PV systems across a range of projects, producing design layouts, system specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • •Conduct technical site surveys across the UK and attend client meetings to develop effective technical solutions and maintain strong client relationships.
  • •Support the commercial team in preparing technical submissions and tender documentation.
  • •Maintain knowledge of the latest electrical standards, codes, and industry best practices; apply BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and IET Code of Practice for Solar PV Installations throughout project delivery.
  • •Uphold a robust health and safety culture across the business and mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; Chartered Engineer status (or actively working towards chartership).
  • •Proven experience in the design, specification, and/or construction of solar PV projects in a consultancy, EPC contractor, or developer environment.
  • •Ability to prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, and client-facing documentation, with knowledge of industry standards and regulations for solar PV installations.
  • •Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers, with proven ability to manage client relationships and provide technical leadership.
  • •Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites, including remote locations; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
