Key Responsibilities

  • •Rotate between Sales and Trading desks to see how both sides support client outcomes.
  • •Analyze market trends, spot patterns, and collect and present data to contribute to reports and pitches.
  • •Support trading and sales activity by building tools and finance models using Excel, VBA, or Python.
  • •Use industry platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and HSBC tools to support global markets work.
  • •Work with Trading and Sales teams to support client portfolios and learn key asset classes, while managing risk and profitability.

Key Requirements

  • •Be available to work full time from July 2027 onwards.
  • •Be a recent graduate with less than 2 years’ full-time work experience (or due to graduate by July 2027).
  • •Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent).
  • •Be fluent in both English and Mandarin.
  • •Be legally permitted to work in mainland China for the full duration of the graduate programme and beyond, without requiring HSBC visa sponsorship.
