Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise daily operation and maintenance of main engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary machinery.
  • •Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
  • •Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults onboard.
  • •Oversee maintenance and operation of dredging equipment including dredge pumps, winches, hydraulic systems, and pipelines.
  • •Maintain engine room logs and records; assist the Chief Engineer during dry docking and audits; ensure compliance with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, Class, and Flag State requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Certificate of Competency (COC) as 2nd Engineer.
  • •5 years’ experience onboard dredgers.
  • •Ability to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance under a Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
  • •Competence in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults onboard.
  • •Knowledge of vessel compliance requirements including ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, Class, and Flag State.
