Key Responsibilities

  • •Support roadway electrical, tolling, ITS, fiber communications, and transportation technology initiatives for the Illinois Tollway.
  • •Participate in field inspections, condition assessments, and asset inventory activities across the Tollway system.
  • •Maintain accurate inventories, asset condition data, and inspection records for transportation technology assets.
  • •Prepare technical reports, inspection documentation, repair cost estimates, technical memoranda, and engineering recommendations.
  • •Support planning, operations, maintenance, construction walkthroughs, system acceptance activities, and handover reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • •Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain EIT (preferred).

  • •Ability to perform field work and site visits throughout the Illinois Tollway system; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
