Job Summary

Evaluate technical requirements for new and existing products and recommend appropriate materials that reduce cost, lead time, improve systems, increase life, and mitigate risk. Partner with New Product Development and New Product Introduction teams to clarify engineering drawing and specification requirements for suppliers. Lead supplier technical audits and performance reviews, drive quality problem resolution with root cause/corrective action, and identify systemic process-level improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate technical requirements for new and existing products and recommend materials to Design Engineering to reduce cost, lead time, and risk.
•Collaborate with New Product Development teams to ensure integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements for suppliers.
•Support New Product Introduction teams so suppliers are involved in development and review of specifications for design for manufacturability.
•Lead supplier technical audits and evaluate supplier performance and capability, driving continuous improvement opportunities.
•Lead quality problem resolutions and incident management, driving root cause and corrective action, and identifying systemic supplier resolutions at the process level.
