Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and evolve asynchronous data services supporting data synchronization across Box systems and data stores
  • •Improve existing services to increase reliability, scalability, observability, and overall architecture
  • •Design and implement new services to support growing data volumes and evolving platform requirements
  • •Ensure data consistency and reliability across different data stores and downstream systems
  • •Participate in production operations, troubleshooting issues, and on-call rotation to triage and respond to incidents

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software development experience, ideally with distributed systems and data-intensive applications
  • •Proficiency in Java or Scala and experience building production backend services
  • •Experience designing and deploying highly available, scalable, reliable distributed systems
  • •Experience with asynchronous systems, data processing, messaging, or event-driven architectures
  • •BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
