Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide and coordinate patient care in the NICU, including systematic assessment, re-assessment, and implementation/monitoring of the medical plan and treatment.
  • •Record vital signs, recognize and escalate abnormalities, and administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and reactions.
  • •Operate and monitor specialized NICU equipment (e.g., incubators, ventilators, radiant warmers, infusion/syringe pumps, cardiac monitors) and ensure equipment is cleaned and decontaminated per infection control standards.
  • •Support newborn admission, stabilization, and specialized neonatal procedures including life support, neonatal resuscitation, and care for mechanical ventilation and phototherapy.
  • •Provide education and emotional support to parents/families and assist with safe admission, transfer, and discharge while maintaining clinical documentation in the EMR.

Key Requirements

  • •Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority.
  • •Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
  • •Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
  • •Be willing to work across departments when necessary.
  • •Maintain own professional re-licensure.
