Job Summary

Own critical CPU units and drive them from RTL to GDSII, working across synthesis, floor-planning, place and route, timing closure, and signoff. Perform feasibility studies using micro-architecture knowledge to balance performance, power, and area (PPA) tradeoffs, and improve physical design methodologies and recipes. Handle physical verification (DRC/LVS) and EM/IR signoff while working with multiple PNR toolchains in a fast-paced, advanced-node environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Own critical CPU units and drive convergence from RTL-to-GDSII, including synthesis, floor-planning, place and route, timing closure, and signoff.
•Understand micro-architecture to perform feasibility studies and evaluate PPA tradeoffs for design closure.
•Develop and improve physical design methodologies and customize recipes across implementation steps to optimize PPA.
•Implement floor plan, synthesis, placement, CTS, timing closure, routing, extraction, physical verification (DRC & LVS), EM/IR, and signoff.
•Handle different PNR toolchains, including Synopsys Fusion Compiler, Cadence, PrimeTime, StarRC, Calibre, and Apache Redhawk.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: INR 2,186,520 - 3,123,600 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of professional experience in physical design, preferably with high-performance designs.
•Must have closed high-performance IPs including CPU/GPU/DPU/memory controller (or similar).
•Strong experience with logic synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and physical/electrical design checks, plus familiarity with schematics/layout and circuit/logic simulation.
•Versatility with scripts to automate the design flow using Perl/Tcl/Python.
•Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to multi-task across projects and collaborate with geographically spread teams.
