Job Summary

Repair and maintain manufacturing equipment and plant facilities at a production site, performing planned corrective maintenance welding plus emergency repairs and fabrications. Weld ferrous, non-ferrous, and reactive alloys using SMAW, TIG, GMAW, and CAC-A in multiple positions, applying cutting methods and operating metalworking and lifting tools. Read engineering drawings and sketches, troubleshoot and evaluate weld issues, and work safely under a strict zero-injury culture.

Key Responsibilities

•Make necessary repairs to manufacturing equipment, servicing industrial machinery and plant facilities.
•Perform planned corrective maintenance welding, repair, and fabrications to support maintenance and production operations.
•Complete weld shop work for machinery, vessel, and vacuum system repairs, including emergency repairs and redline drawing work.
•Understand and apply welding and fabrication methods using flat pattern development, layouts, and stretch-outs.
•Follow strict safety practices and perform troubleshooting and evaluation of weld cracks to determine effective repair approaches.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 47.3 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Valid driver's license.
•Combination of 2 years vocational training and 6 years of verified Journeyman level welding experience (or 8 years direct industrial/manufacturing welding experience at Journeyman level).
•Highly skilled in SMAW, TIG, GMAW, and CAC-A welding.
•Familiarity and/or certification with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code; ability to understand metal fabrication techniques and read engineering drawings/shop sketches.
