Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise practical nurses and practical midwives, junior staff, and student nurses to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • •Perform in-charge duties as delegated and act as a preceptor to new staff as required.
  • •Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; coordinate individualized care through the episode of care including discharge planning.
  • •Administer medications per policies and procedures, evaluate patient response, identify side effects, and report ADRs and medication errors.
  • •Participate in quality improvement, infection control, risk management, and compliant documentation; contribute to patient safety culture.

Key Requirements

  • •NLT 2 years clinical experience post-qualification in an appropriate setting (experience requirement waived for graduates of UAE nursing colleges/universities after completion of internship).
  • •Maintain accountability for own practice and do not perform tasks beyond level of competence.
  • •Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and unit scope of service.
  • •Utilize evidence-based practice for the provision of care.
