  • •Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment and cables on board vessels and in shipyard facilities.
  • •Layout, fabricate, and install electrical wiring, coaxial cable, or fiber optic, including removing and reinstalling overhead/bulkhead/under-deck cables.
  • •Read and interpret schematics and blueprints; work from controlled work packages, work orders, and technical documents.
  • •Remove, plan, execute, install, and modify electrical cable and related equipment for fleet modernization; inspect completed work to specification.

  • •Must have a DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • •Must have a high school diploma, GED, or industrial/trade school certificate.
  • •Minimum three years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on-board Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, MSC, or maritime vessels.
  • •Must be familiar with one or more Interior Communications (IC) systems (e.g., MC, HYDRA, IVN, IVCN, SATCC, SIWCS).
